Bettina Bohle

Bettina Bohle

Yet another portrait - Bettina with a dramatic sky at the temple of Poseidon at Sounion. If we could have just stayed another half hour we would have had an incredible sunset - but we had to set off for a 'special' dinner... at a place which had a mountain between us and the sun. Quite disappointing for any photographers, but it was a nice dinner.

This is one of the occasions that made me wish I'd brought a flash - but I really didn't want the extra weight, which adds up if you include radio triggers, battery charger, spares etc. It turned out quite nicely anyway, but I had to underexpose Bettina and bring up the shadows a little in lightroom. This is with a 28mm lens on APS-C, f/3.5 at 1/2500.
