Sunset in New Cross

Moving House

I haven't had much time to blog this week - I've finished my MA dissertation and started moving house. One of the few wonderful things about the old flat is the view of sunset. This was a few days ago - in New Cross looking towards London - the shard is out of frame to the right. Settings are 1/100, f/7.1, ISO 100 with an 85mm lens. I'll certainly miss seeing the sunset from the comfort of my own home - and sunrise from the kitchen, but the new place is a lot more comfortable.

I've also been working on editing video from my MA Final Performance, and refining my workflow for video with Adobe Prelude, dealing with a combination of AVCHD material and Canon DSLR footage by automatically transcoding everything to AVC-Intra. I'm on a PC, which is why I'm not doing it through ProRes. I'll put the video up soon, but the sound's going to be edited by a collaborator so I'm waiting for that.
